Science Olympiad is a nationwide competition that spans over 23 different STEM-based events. Split into four sections - Life Science, Physics & Chemistry, Earth & Space, Technology & Inquiry - it advances content past what is covered in a traditional science classroom through collaborative, team-based competition. MMS Science Olympiad is a feeder team to MHS Science Olympiad - a highly reputed team that placed first in the nation last year. MMS Scioly placed third in states last year.

Science Olympians must come to meetings and must follow through on independent preparation as well. All team members must attend mandatory meetings and inform the captains beforehand of absences. Students should also plan to attend regionals if placed on the team, and be available for Invitationals and states.
